Central-Palakkad Express train to halt in Tiruvallur
Following the decision taken by Southern Railway to halt the Chennai – Palakkad Express train at Tiruvallur junction, members of the railway passengers association in Tiruvallur district expressed joy and have thanked the railways for helping passengers.

The railways had announced that train number 22651/22652 from Chennai – Palghat and Palghat – Chennai would halt at the Tiruvallur junction. Social activist and a member of the Railway Passengers’ Association S Mohanram said that the request was made by thousands of train commuters in Tiruvallur district on several occasions.
“A number of residents use trains to Kerala and are forced to travel up to Chennai as there is no halt at Tiruvallur junction. This has come as a big relief for us,” he said. We extend our hearty thanks to all the higher officials of southern railway, Mohanram added.
