Namakkal man found dead in Karur

Sources said that some passers-by, who found the body of a middle-aged man with hands tied backwards on Chukkaliyur highway near Karur, alerted the Thanthodri police. A police team rushed to the spot, retrieved the body and sent it to Karur GH.

During initial investigations the deceased was identified as Saravanan (42) of Kunjampalayam in Namakkal district and a cable TV operator by profession. Further investigations revealed that Saravanan had professional rivalry with Anbalagan, who also hailed from Kunjampalayam. Cops suspect that Anbalagan might have killed Saravanan and abandoned the body at that spot.

In a swift follow-up action, police rushed to Namakkal to nab Anbalagan. Further investigations are on.
