According to the organisers, the state-wide human chain has been scheduled on March 9 (Saturday) demanding the release of the seven convicts as all of them have been completed 28 years in prison.
The human chain would be held at different places in various districts across the state. The protes in Tiruchy would begin from RC higher secondary school to the Junction railway station.
Similar protests would be held at Chennai, Madurai, Coimbatore, Tirunelveli, Salem and other districts. The human chain demonstration would begin at 4 pm on that day, according to sources.
The organisers blamed the union government’s role for the inordinate delay in the release of seven convicts.
