MMK miffed at seat denial
The DMK took time to clinch the deal with the allies in anticipation of luring Vijayakant’s DMDK, which appears to be gravitating towards rival AIADMK camp.

DMK president MK Stalin, after sealing the poll pact on Tuesday, said that his party has concluded the seat-sharing agreement with all its allies and identification of constituencies would start from Thursday. Meanwhile, the DMK nearly lost ally MMK (Manithaneya Makkal Katchi) to rivals. Shortly after the DMK denied ticket to MMK which returned from Anna Arivalayam disappointed following failed talks. Party leader MH Jawahirullah declared that the party general council would decide on supporting the DMK or responding to invite from TTV Dhinakaran’s AMMK. Stalin justified the decision and said they could not allot a ticket to the MMK and they have assured an opportunity in future.
