Abhi mania continues, MiG-21 toy planes the rage in city

The MiG-21 MF fighter aircraft toy ranks 937 in the list of the Amazon’s best-selling remote-controlled toys now and has been receiving thousands of orders since March 2, revealed Akash, an Amazon customer care executive. The release of the pilot on March 2, has fuelled the demand for the toy. 

Gautham Srivatsan, 42, a father of two boys aged 5 and 3, said, “I buy toy cars from Hot Wheels every week. This time, I ordered the fighter jet because I told my kids Abhinandhan’s story and how he returned 

from Pakistan and the toy would help them understand better.”

At the moment, Shopstyle, JollyBuy, Exborders, Shop Your World Store, Kiron are selling the toy replica of the MiG-21 fighter aircraft and they are priced in a range of Rs 4,044 to Rs 5,580. Ismail, the owner of Ismail Toy Shop, Purasawalkam, said, “I have been getting requests from many parents on the fighter plane toys, but since they are manufactured in China, it will take 40 days to come.” He added, “I have placed order for only a few hundred planes because I’m guessing the trend might fade away.”
