DMK finalises seat sharing with Marxist Communist Party of India, allots 2 seats
The DMK and the Congress had earlier finalised the seat-sharing deal for the ensuing Parliamentary elections with DMK allocating 10 seats, including Puducherry, to the national party.

After holding discussions with Tamil Nadu Secretary of Marxist Communist Party of India K. Balakrishnan, DMK confirmed its alliance with the party and shared two seats to the party for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
The DMK on Monday concluded electoral pacts with three other Tamil Nadu parties — the Communist Party of India (CPI), the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) and the Indhiya Jananayaga Katchi (IJK). As per the sheet sharing agreement, the CPI and the VCK get two seats each while the IJI gets one.
