Mahashivaratri celebrations planned at Isha

An exuberant nightlong festival, Mahashivaratri is being celebrated for the 25th consecutive year at the Isha Yoga Center, a powerful space for self-transformation, which sets the ideal ambience for the unfolding of an intense spiritual experience. 

The nightlong festival features midnight meditation with Sadhguru, musical performances by eminent artistes and Maha Annadanam, said Isha Foundation in a statement. It further said that the sacred land of India celebrates numerous festivals for spiritual growth. 

Among them, Mahashivaratri is foremost in its potency.  The night’s unique planetary positions confer tremendous physical and spiritual benefits for one who remains awake keeping the spine erect. Devotees who are at the Isha Yoga Center on Maha Shivratri can receive a Rudraksh Prasadam and Sarpa Sutra. 

Rudraksh Prasadam - this bead is one of one lakh and eight such rudraksh beads that have adorned Adiyogi over the last year.

Sarpa Sutra- made of copper, should be worn on the left ring finger and is supportive for stability and well being, it added.
