VIT’s campus recruitment enters Limca Book of Records again

A VIT press release on Sunday stated that during the campus recruitment drive that was held in VIT campus since August 2017, Wipro Technologies (Wipro Turbo) offered jobs to 139 students with a CTC (cost to company) of Rs 6 lakhs per annum from the 2018 graduating batch.  

This is the highest number of offers given by the company to the students from a single institution, and has found a place in the Limca Book of Records in its 2019 edition.

This surpasses the earlier record of 129 dream offers made by the same company to the 2017 graduatingbatch of VIT. 

This is also the eighth time that the VIT is entering the Limca Book of Records for campus placements.

Earlier, the institute entered the Limca Book in 2009, 2011, 2014, 2015 (two records), in 2016 for the highest number of IT services placements, and in 2017 for the highest number of dream offers, the release said.
