IT raids marriage hall of Minister
Officials of the Income-Tax Department on Thursday conducted raids at several places including a marriage hall owned by Commercial Taxes Minister KC Veeramani and the house of his personal assistant and the offices and residences of real estate dealers in Vellore, Katpadi, KV Kuppam and Jolarpet, on Thursday.

The IT sleuths conducted raids in a marriage hall owned by Veeramani at Jolarpet. Another team raided the house of SP Srinivasan, personal assistant of KC Veeramani in the same area. Srinivasan is currently the Jolarpet AIADMK town secretary.
IT members also raided the house and offices of Sivakumar, a DMK leader and the nephew of Katpadi MLA Duraimurugan. He is currently into real estate business and was a former DMK local office bearer.
Meanwhile, the sleuths visited the office of Sai city centre near the Vellore new bus stand, owned by real estate dealers Jayaprakash and Ramamurthy Reddy around 7 am. A 10-member team also raided the houses of boththe dealers.
