CEO reviews poll works in Tiruvannamalai

Sahoo urged officials to ensure that complaints received at the voter service centre set up at the collectorate were acted upon immediately. He also asked officials to ensure that the remaining poll-related works were completed expeditiously.

Earlier, the Chief Electoral Officer inspected the rooms where Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) were kept and the EVM public awareness area setup within the premises. Sahoo, who also inspected the functioning of VVPAT machines, told district officials that timely action would ensure the polls pass off peacefully without any problems.

Collector K S Kandasamy, DRO P Rathinasamy, trainee collector M Prathap, DRDA project director P Jayasudha and other officials were present during the inspection.

The CEO then left for Vellore, where he held another meeting to review all poll-related works with a team of officials led by Collector and District Electoral Officer SA Raman.
