Police personnel kills self
A 29-year old police personnel S Ramar, resident of Saptur near Peraiyur, Madurai, allegedly committed suicide by hanging on Thursday. Ramar, who was employed in the Sixth Battalion of Tamil Nadu Special Police, Madurai, was found hanging in his staff quarters, located on Natham road, Madurai.

A suicide note found in the room said that family dispute was the reason for his suicide. However, the exact reason for his death is yet to be ascertained, sources said. He joined the Department of Police in the post of Havildar in 2011, sources said. Tallakulam police have filed a case under Section 174 of Cr P C. The body was taken to Madurai Government Rajaji Hospital for post mortem.
