28-yr-old murdered by two friends in Coimbatore

Police officials stated that Leo Martin, a resident of Puliakulam was stabbed to death by his friends Dharun alias Infant Raj (24) and Shanmugam (23) from the same neighbourhood. 

“Last month, Leo had insisted Dharun to buy ganja for him while they were drinking liquor. When the latter refused, a quarrel broke out, which ended up with Leo assaulting Dharun,” a police officer said.   

On late Sunday night, Dharun and Shanmugam spotted Leo going for a walk through Alamelu Mangammal layout and began fighting with him. Dharun produced a knife and stabbed Leo multiple times. 

The Ramanathapuram police rushed to the scene and took Leo to Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital but he died on the way to the hospital. 

The police officers have secured two persons. They stated that Leo had two murder charges and several assault cases in his name. Further inquiry is underway.
