Tamil Nadu Electricity, Prohibition and Excise Minister Thangamani on Wednesday participated in an event of providing welfare schemes to  beneficiaries at Namakkal.

After the event he met the reporters and said, “AIADMK started its works to face the upcoming

parliamentary elections. Alliance talks are underway, the final decision will be announced by the

party coordinators as soon as possible.”

“In the current year, the state has much higher input of electricity than demand so it is expected that there will be no power shutdown during this summer,” Thangamani said.

He accused the DMK Leader MK Stalin of organising ‘Gram sabha’ meetings and hit out the events by calling them political gimmick.
