Two killed in separate accidents
Two men died in two different road accidents on Saturday. A cab driver died after his car tyre burst, sending his vehicle out of control. The car hit a road median, killing the man. Meanwhile, a two-wheel rider was killed after being hit by a sand lorry.

The deceased cab driver was identified as Subash (54), a resident of Thiru Vi Ka quarters in Teynampet, who was working in a travel agency. Police said that on Saturday night at around 8.30 pm, he was driving towards Tambaram after dropping a passenger at Velachery.
When he was on the IAF road in Selaiyur, the front right tyre of his car burst after which he lost control of the car. The vehicle hit a share auto-rickshaw and a road median. Subash died on the spot while the auto driver Vadamalai (40) and a passenger onboard escaped with minor injuries. The Chromepet Traffic Investigation police have registered a case and investigating.
In another incident, Dhandapani (38), a resident of Jamuna Bhai street in Perambur, who worked as a supplier of dry coconut shells to an incense manufacturing unit, died after his two wheeler was hit by a sand lorry near Keezhkattalai on Thoraipakkam – Pallavaram radial road around 6 pm on Saturday. Dhandapani died on the spot and his body was sent to the Chromepet Government hospital. The Chromepet Traffic police registered a case and further investigations are on.
