Trough in Bay of Bengal: South TN to may get light rain for next two days
The city will continue to experience dry weather while parts of southern Tamil Nadu is likely to receive light rains at a few places for the next two days.

Currently, the trough of low lies over central parts of South Bay of Bengal and adjoining parts of equatorial Indian Ocean. This system would be further moving in West/Northwest direction and effecting the weather of SouthTamil Nadu region in the form of rain and thundershower activities.
“The night temperatures over most parts of the state is likely to increase in the coming days. After mid-February, there will be no chilly nights,” said an officer at the RMD.
In the next 48 hours, Cuddalore, Nagapattinam, Karaikal, Rameswaram, Madurai, Thanjavur, Pamban, Tuticorin and Kanyakumari will witness light to moderate rain with gusty winds.
Strong winds from north-easterly direction with the speed reaching to 50 kmph occasionally likely along and off South Tamil Nadu coast and over Kanniyakumari area.
For the next 48 hours, the sky condition in the city is likely to be partly cloudy with a maximum temperature of 31 Degree Celsius and the minimum temperature of 23 Degree Celsius.
