Speaking to reporters here, Dhinakaran said the AMMK cadre quit the ruling party after learning that it was with a ‘Theeya Sakthi’ (evil force), just like when former CM MG Ramachandran came out of the DMK.
“Hence, there is no point in merging the party with the AIADMK, which is now a party with evil forces,” he said.
Refusing to comment on speculations about an electoral alliance with the BJP, Dhinakaran said: “I will not twist my tongue but stick to what I have spoken earlier. My main agenda is to retrieve the AIADMK from the evil forces,” Dhinakaran said.
Stating that both MGR and Jayalalithaa implemented projects for people from all walks of life, the AMMK leader said the present State government, however, has been supporting projects like Sterlite and Salem expressway that were opposed by Jayalalithaa as well as the people of Tamil Nadu.
“The claims of Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman about the Central government fulling the dreams of MGR and Jaya is just an act of ridiculing those leaders,” Dhinakaran said, promising to execute the projects that were planned by Jayalalithaa upon forming the government.
