VCK conclave demands separate Act to deal honour killing cases
The Desam Kaappom (Save Nation) conference organised by VCK here on Wednesday demanded separate regulation for cases related to honour killing. The conclave also welcomed the Superme Court’s verdict allowing women of all age groups into Sabarimala.

While addressing the gathering, the DMK president MK Stalin said, it is the duty of everyone to cut the Sanathana Dharma from its roots only when Democracy will dawn. Stalin said, “Pakistan and China will never wage war against us but it is the rulers both in Centre and state are threatening us and so it is the time to raise slogans of save nation.”
He also said that the BJP leaders have been branding those who voice against the party as ‘anti-national’. “We are ready to oppose BJP and Modi as the BJP government is not for the people but for the corporates,” he said and called upon the people to remove both Modi and Edappadi K Palaniswami.
While speaking at the event, the VCK chief Thol Thirumavalavan said that the Sanathana forces attempted to stop the conference with the support of the police. He referred that the conference was the first election campaign meeting of DMK alliance and said, “The DMK will definitely defeat the communal forces and form government.”
He also added that the only the persons with Sanathanam dharma had the development in the Modi government.
He encouraged the corporates but not the public, Thirumavalavan said.
Leaders, like V Narayanasamy (CM Puducherry), Sitharam Yechuri (CPM), Sudakhar Reddy (CPI), S Thirunavukkarasar (TNCC), K Balakrishnanan (CPM State Secretary), R Mutharasan (CPI State Secratery, Vaiko (MDMK), KM Kadar Mohideen (IUML), K Veeramani (DK), MH Jawahirullah (MMK president) and others were also present.
