ISI threatened to kill me in prison, says Pakistani spy
Mohamed Sakir Hussain, the infamous Pakistani spy of Sri Lankan origin, has accused the ISI of trying to eliminate him inside the Puzhal prison after he confessed his crime to National Investigation Agency and also named Amir Zubair Siddique, a former Pakistan diplomat at Colombo mission, as his handler.

A letter written by the spy, accessed by DT Next, spoke about the international conspiracy, probably in connivance with some former officials at Puzhal prison, to eliminate him and his family at Sri Lanka.
In a letter written to the Additional Director General of Police (Prisons) in March 2018, Sakir Hussain noted that he had been receiving threats from some of the prisoners lodged in the Puzhal prison “based on direction from ISI (Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence).” He further added that those threatening him wanted him to confess against the National Investigation Agency in the Madras High Court and also tell the court that the confession he had made in Poonamallee Court was false.
Sakir Hussain was arrested in April 2014 by the Tamil Nadu police after a tip-off from the Intelligence Bureau that the accused had entered India allegedly to carry out reconnaissance of the US Consulate in Chennai and Israeli Consulate in Bengaluru. He is currently undergoing five-year imprisonment.
Sakir has also named Madhan and Mohamed Rikas, Lankan nationals lodged in Puzhal in connection with a narcotics case as the two men, who had threatened him. Madhan and Mohamed Rikas were in the photos that exposed the luxurious life prisoners were leading inside Puzhal prison, in September last year. “Another spy case suspect Mohamed Hussien, arrested in Malaysia and handed over to Lankan authorities, contacted Madhan in Puzhal jail over phone and had asked to threaten me,” Sakir had said in his petition.
He had also named a few jail officials who did not look into his complaints regarding the threats from other inmates. After Sakir Hussain’s petition, he was shifted to Cuddalore prison and his family members in Sri Lanka came under the protection of RAW, sources said here.
