Dr Sudha Seshayyan is VC of Dr MGR Medical University

At present, Dr Sudha is the director and professor at Institute of Anatomy in Madras Medical College. She will be the 10th vice-chancellor of the university. Having vast teaching experience of more than 30 years, Dr Sudha is familiar with university administration as she was registrar of the same varsity. 

She also served on the editorial review board for Gray’s Anatomy and continues to be the member of the international advisory board for reviewing the publications. 

Before electing Dr Sudha, the Governor had interviewed three other doctors, who were shortlisted by the search committee for the post of vice-chancellor. Before submitting the three doctors’ names to the Governor, the search committee had already interviewed 10 doctors from the list of 41 candidates.
