Parents can watch live telecast of Jipmer PG counselling
Jawharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research (Jipmer), here, will start live telecast & recording of post graduate entrance exam counselling process from this year onwards.

Jipmer Director Dr Swaminathan in a release on Thursday said that with this the counselling process becomes more transparent and avoids legal issues. Usually parents are not permitted in the Post Graduate (DM/MCh) Counselling Session and they remain apprehensive about their children.
With the live telecast of counselling session on December 21, 2018, parents can view the post graduate counselling process from 11.30 am onwards in their homes. Further the whole process of counselling will be recorded to avoid legal issues.
A link will be provided on Jipmer website for viewing the telecast. Parents can view the counselling process live in their mobile/tablet/laptop with internet connection.
“This is being done for first time in the country in a government medical institution. In the future, this facility will be extended for MBBS Entrance Exam Counselling also,” Swaminathan said.
