Jaya death probe: Health Secretary summoned
Health Secretary J Radhakrishnan has been summoned to appear before the Justice A Arumughaswamy enquiry commission probing into the death of former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa at Kalas Mahal.

Radhkrishnan will depose before the commission at 10 am on December 14.
He is expected to answer a series of questions ranging from the treatment administered to Jayalalithaa, to why she wasn’t taken abroad for treatment during the course of her hospitalisation at Apollo Hospitals.
Following Radhakrishnan, Apollo Hospitals doctor Vijaya Chandra Reddy has also been summoned to depose on December 17. AIIMS doctors Nikhil Tandon and Deva Gourav will appear before Justice Arumughaswamy on December 19.
Perumalsamy, who was Jayalalithaa’s Personal Security Officer, has also been summoned on December 20.
Jayalalithaa passed away on December 5, 2016 after being treated in the hospital for 75 days from September 22 for various ailments.
In September 2017, the State Government had constituted the probe panel.
