Class 11 girl complains of kidnap attempt
A group of three women allegedly attempted to kidnap a Class 11 girl when she was returning home, on Monday near Tambaram.

The victim, Revathi (name changed) of Kannagi Street in East Tambaram, is a Class 11 student at a private school. Police said Revathi was returning home on a bicycle after her typewriting class when a load autorickshawintercepted her.
Three women who were in the auto showed a sheet of paper and asked her for an address. When Revathi was reading the address, one of the woman grabbed her while the other two tried to pour something inside her mouth. But she shouted for help, forcing those on the auto to speed away from the spot.
After the girl informed her parents about the incident, they took her to a government hospital. Based on the information by the hospital, the police visited the spot and held inquiries. The police after browsing the CCTV footage said that there could not see any such incident in the CCTV footage. On Tuesday the girl’s father filed a complaint at Selaiyur police station.
