Vasan calls TMC third generation party
Tamil Maanila Congress president GK Vasan said that the spirit of the party cadre was the same as on the date of party launch even after five years. “This proclaims that the party has been formed to achieve a goal,” he said in Ariyalur on Saturday.

Addressing the cadre after hoisting party flag to mark the fifth year of its launch, Vasan said, the Centre has been indirectly supporting Karnataka and so it granted permission to construct Mekedatu dam and the TMC would hold a protest on November 8 at Krishnagiri.
Similarly, the state government should not be indifferent in the Sterlite case and it should provide alternate employment to the employees of Sterlite firm, he said.
Stating that TMC has the maximum number of youth members compared to any other party, Vasan said, the youth should come forward to help the people affected by Cyclone Gaja and should stand with them during the times of natural calamity. “TMC is the third generation party and its strength is only the people. The party has not so far been stepped into the court,” he claimed.
Meanwhile, he said that the implementation of GST and the hike in petrol and diesel prices have affected the people who have been undergoing a series of problems. He charged that the Narendra Modi government has not initiated measures to control these for the welfare of the people. “Modi had promised of employment to one crore youth but it has not been materialized,” he said.
Earlier, the party’s vice president Gnanadesikan said that the case for the party’s symbol, Cycle comes in a week and they believe that the verdict would be on their favour.
