TTV politicising disaster: AIADMK
The blame game between the AIADMK and rebel AMMK has reached its peak in Delta region. AMMK leader TTV Dhinakaran on Monday accused the state for the growing number of public protest in the region hit by Cyclone Gaja.

Dhinakaran, who is on a tour of the villages, said that the delay in conduct of local body polls has adversely affected the public at grass roots.
“If there were councillors and elected panchayat members they would address the public issues faster and the local administration system has failed due to the vested interests of Edappadi K Palaniswami government,” he charged. In a tweet, Dhinakaran also suggested that the Centre should have announced an interim relief package for the public and then directed the Central team to assess the damage. Though the government evacuated large number of public, the state has failed to provide relief measures at the camps, he charged.
“Make hay while sun shines seem to be political mantra of Dhinakaran who is now on a tour in Gaja-hit districts. Apart from instigating protesters the AMMK has not done anything concrete,” shot back an AIADMK MLA, who is now part of the relief team based in Nagapattinam. “Most of the protests against Minister OS Manian were orchestrated. The DMK is behaving as a proper opposition, but the TTV faction is trying to do dirty politics,” the MLA said.
