Pon Radhakrishnan clarifies on whether Gaja cyclone would be announced as a national disaster

Prime Minister's Mann ki Baat was broadcast on Sunday. In order to make the Prime Minsiter's speech reach the general public, BJP made special arrangements in the school playground of SLP school. 

The Union Minister Pon. Radhakrishnan who took part in the event, while addressing the media said:

"The cyclone Gaja has wreaked havoc in Tamil Nadu. Rs. 16,000 crore has been asked on behalf of the Tamil Nadu government for relief measures. Meanwhile, the Central Committee is inspecting the damage caused by the cyclone. Only after the inspection is carried out completely can it be known whether the cyclone will be announced as National Disaster or not."

"Meeting the people affected by the cyclone I received various responses regarding the relief measures. Some said to have received the benefits of the relief measures while others said that they didn't receive anything," he added.
