Railways to operate 3 specials for festival

Two special trains between Villupuram junction and Tiruvannamalai and another train between Vellore cantonment and Tiruvannamalai would be operated on November 22 and 23. 

This arrangement has been made to ensure easy and smooth transportation for the devotees, who want to participate in the girivalam yatra and to witness the lighting of the Bharani and Maha deepams on the final day, officials said. The Villupuram–Tiruvannamalai special train would leave Villupuram at 10 am and reach Tiruvannamalai at noon. 

While, in the return direction it would leave Tiruvannamalai at 1 pm and reach Villupuram at 2.45 pm. Similarly, the other special train Tiruvannamalai–Villupuram would leave Tiruvannamalai at 4.30 am and reach Villupuram at 5.55 am. 

In the return direction, the train would leave at 10 pm reaching Villupuram at 11.25 pm. The special train between Vellore and Tiruvannamalai would leave Vellore cantonment at 9.30 pm and reach Tiruvannamalai at 11.20 pm and in the return direction it would leave Tiruvannamalai at 4.55 am and reach Vellore cantonment at 5.55pm.
