Three youth dead as car rams bike

According to police, M Nagendrabarathi, 19, studying second-year polytechnic, M Raju, 15, a Class 10 student and E Babu, 19, a hotel labourer were riding in a two-wheeler back home, when the mishap happened near Thamaraikulam on Pollachi-Kinathukadavu road.

They all hail from different areas in Pollachi. The mishap happened while the three friends were returning after visiting a new house built by parents of one of their friend in Kinathukadavu area. In the impact of the mishap, all the three boys were killed on the spot.

On receiving information, the Kinathukadavu police rushed to the spot and sent the bodies of the deceased persons for post mortem at Pollachi Government Hospital. The police arrested the car driver Thangavel, 58 from Udumalpet and further inquiries are on.
