Woman gives birth to boy in ambulance
A pregnant woman while on her way to the Vellore Government Medical College Hospital in a 108 ambulance van, gave birth to a healthy male baby near the Vellore old bus stand on Friday.

Sources said that Induja (25), wife of Thiagarajan (35), developed labour pains on Friday morning and was rushed to the Panapakkam Hospital.
Since she required additional medical attention doctors suggested the patient to be shifted to the Vellore Government Medical College Hospital.
While on her way in a 108 ambulance van, Induja was about to deliver the baby and went into labour. She delivered a healthy male child aided by Emergency Medical Technician S Kavitha.
Later, Induja was admitted to the Vellore GH. The condition of both the mother and child are normal.
