Referring to the verdict, Thambidurai, who received petitions from the people at Kosipatti and Manianpatti villages in Tiruchy district, said: “Dharma has won”.

Claiming that all the disqualified MLAs would be re-inducted if they are ready to apologise, the senior leader said: “Both Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam will take a call on this issue.”

Responding to the demand of former minister V Senthil Balaji that he (Thambidurai) be questioned by the Jayalalithaa death probe panel, the Lok Sabha deputy speaker said that it should be decided by the commission and not Senthil Balaji. “If bypolls are conducted in all the 20 seats, the AIADMK will make a clean sweep since the people are with us,” Thambidurai said, expressing confidence that the government will complete its term.
