Judgment won’t impact EPS govt: Sarath Kumar

“The verdict, be it positive or negative, won’t impact the state government and it will remain stable. Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami seems to be handling the situation well,” said Sarath Kumar, after attending a series of party events in Tiruvallur district.

Addressing the media, he said though the numbers are not with the government, it is highly unlikely that it would be toppled. “Apart from the 18 MLAs, there are still 116 MLAs for Palaniswami and the required number is 117 for majority. By this time the ruling party would have sent feelers to the 18 MLAs and would try to woo them to their camp,” he said.

When asked about the possibility of an alliance with DMDK, Sarath Kumar said he would be happy if it materialisies. “DMDK founder Vijayakanth is my close friend in cinema and it will be good if there is alliance with him,” he said.
