The prime accused identified as Ramshisah Varma, 26, native of Bihar was on hide after police arrested the Bangladeshi nationals for illegal stay without valid documents, in Tirupur.
A four member police team from Tirupur Rural police had camped in Ranchi, Jharkhand for the last few days in search of the accused. “A native of Bihar, Varma, had settled down in a village in Ranchi, where his wife hails from. He was picked up on Monday night and was brought to Tirupur on Tuesday,” police sources said.
Inquiries revealed that Varma had issued fake Aadhar cards to migrant workers who were settled in Tirupur district. “He was staying in Avinashi area. Following this, police seized equipments including a computer, digital camera and printers that were used to make fake Aadhar cards from his possession,” police said.
During a vehicle check at Sevanthapalayam outpost on October 5, police secured three Bangladeshi nationals identified as Ibrahim, Subian and Hussain, all working in a knitwear firm. They all had Aadhaar cards issued in West Bengal.
However, verification with UIDAI revealed that the Aadhaar cards in their possession were fake.
