Speaking at a function organised by a private college in Injambakkam, the 63-year-old said if he had taken the plunge decades ago he would have been a veteran by now. Kamal, however, added that he must not be underestimated considering it has only been eight months since his foray into politics.
The actor-politician reiterated that his party will not form an alliance with anyone who seek to change the “DNA of Tamil Nadu”.
Stating that he had been asked about electoral alliance, Kamal said, “I will make a decision only after assessing those who intend to do good for the people.”
Kamal alluded to his statement at leadership summit held in New Delhi on Friday, wherein he was asked if he is open to the possibility of allying with the BJP.
On whether this means he is open to an alliance with any party, Kamal said that he is certain there will be no joining hands with any party seek-ing to alter the DNA of Tamil Nadu, which is unique and must be pro-tected, adding that he is intent on spending the rest of his life giving back to the people of the State.
Kamal is now preparing for his upcoming tour of Salem and Namakkal districts, that will see him meet with MNM functionaries as well as the public between October 13 and 15.
