Five days after AIADMK MP Arunmozhithevan submitted a petition seeking action against H Raja for making baseless allegations against him, the Central Crime Branch sources said that cases have been registered against the BJP leader H Raja under various sections on Monday.

Cases were registered under Sections 153 A, 153 B (Promotion of Enmity) and 505/1 (b) (c) (circulates statement, rumour or report to cause fear and incite). The Cuddalore MP had refuted allegations made by H Raja that the former swindled 200 acres of temple land in Thittakudi.
Meanwhile, students of Thiru Vi Ka college in Tiruvarur boycotted classes on Monday and blocked road demanding the arrest of BJP national secretary H Raja, who made derogatory comments against the court, police and HR &CE officials and their family members.
Around 500 students, who gathered in front of the college, shouted slogans against Raja for his remarks and said that the BJP leader was in the habit of making derogatory comments. Ironically, the police have been providing security for him. They warned Raja to refrain from making such derogatory and inflammatory comments.
While criticising HR&CE officials, the protesting students said that Raja also used abusive comments against their family members and pointed out that it was not good for a person, who was holding a top post in a national party that was in power at the Centre. They also demanded Raja to withdraw the comments and urged the police to arrest him immediately like it was done in the case of MLA Karunaas for his derogatory remarks. The students also condemned the firing on West Bengal students, who had protested against the exam fee hike in that state.
