‘Change of government can save Palar'

Unfortunately, today the river is just a parched stretch used for mining sand by unscrupulous elements, he added. 

Addressing a well-attended meeting at the Vellore mango market, he said the river could be saved only if the unbridled sand mining is stopped. Also, he emphasized that action needs be taken to prevent from countless check dams constructed across the river by both Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

Anbumani also concluded by saying that his party has decided to plant 10 lakh seedlings in five years on all the hills in Vellore.
