On ‘god’s will’, BJP man gets goodies
A ‘mentally unstable’ man dropped a parcel at a state BJP functionary’s house, as god had told him in his dream to present the functionary with goodies, in Tirupur on Sunday.

Coimbatore
Nachimuthu (60), a resident of Muthu Nagar in Tirupur district and a BJP state committee member, had gone out for a morning walk, when a stranger visited his house, said police. “He dropped a parcel right in front of his family members and ran away without responding to their queries,” police said.
The panicked family members immediately called Nachimuthu, who informed Tirupur North police. On opening the parcel, the police personnel found some dress materials, slippers and photos of some goddesses.
Based on the CCTV footage, police picked up one Rathinasabapathi alias Kannan, who worked in a garment firm, from Golden Nagar. During inquiries, the accused told police that god appeared in his dream and asked him to present the goodies to him. He confessed to having dropped the parcel as he believed that it would bring him fortune.
Since he reportedly appeared to be in a mentally unstable condition, police let him off with them after issuing a warning.
