AIADMK to host party meeting at venue used by TTV Dhinakaran

Party sources revealed that AIADMK chose the same venue following show their party’s support and strength by filling up the same ground.

Suspended Gudiyattam MLA Ms Jayanathi Padmanabhan told DT Next, “The upcoming elections will show whom people truly support. The ruling party is doing everything in their power to ensure that AMMK is put down. At the behest of the local minister police removed our flag pole at Gudiyattam a few days ago. They kept it at the police station without returning it to us.” However, reportedly even AMMK found it difficult to fill the open ground during Dhinakaran’s meeting. 

It is alleged that the party-men roped many north Indian youths for payment. It was said that they were seen holding a Tamil party daily without knowing Tamil while questioned on how much they were paid to attend the meeting; a boy had replied as “300 hundred”. 

“It is only at the top that such issues take precedence as cadres know that top brass have to do something to show their relevance and loyalty to Amma’s ideals. But whether such measures will result in victory only election results can tell,” said sources in the party.
