TNEA: 55,000 seats allotted till now, final counselling today

Anna University’s Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission 2018 secretary Dr V Rhymend Uthariaraj said, so far a total of 78,169 students were called for online counselling held in student’s facilitation centres established across the state. Till now four rounds of counselling were held, he added.

However, only 58,744 students have completed the payment procedure and participated in the counselling.

Out of these, 56,363 students have entered their respective choices during the counselling process.

After scrutinizing the student’s details, tentative allotment was given to 55,730 students as per their choice. About 1.10 lakh students were shortlisted in the merit list, which was released last month by Anna University. 

The final round of counselling for the remaining eligible candidates will be held from Tuesday.

They will have three days’ time to add and lock their choices. The list of tentative allotment for the last batch of students will be published on August 18.

Anna University has instructed the students that applicants must ensure that all online counselling activities like making payment, adding choices, locking choices, tentative allotment, submission of allotment option and final allotment are performed at the official TNEA web portals.
