Rajini’s brother hints at state-level meet of Mandram members soon

After attending a temple function in Thiruppathur, the brother of the actor-politician spoke to members of the Rajini Makkal Mandram. He said that Rajinikanth will soon take a plunge into politics full time after the completion of his ongoing movies. He added that no force in the state can stop his entry into politics and that he is confident that his brother can become the Chief Minister of the state. 

Sathyanarayana said that a state-level meeting of all office-bearers of Rajini Makkal Mandram is expected to be held soon. He hinted that major decisions on the leadership of the Rajini Makkal Mandram could be in store and fueled speculation among party members that an internal rejig will be in line after a string of dismissals. As the party launch approaches closer with Rajinikanth back in Chennai after his shooting schedule, it is expected that the 67-year-old wants everything to be perfectly coordinated. 

Rajinikanth declared his intention to enter politics in December 31 last year. 

Since his announcement, the fan clubs of Rajinikanth across the state have been organised under a nodal body, the Rajini Makkal Mandram. 

Over the past months, the recruitment of members and appointment of office-bearers for various posts have been completed under the supervision of state secretary Raju Mahalingam and chief co-ordinator VM Sudhakar. A disciplinary action committee has also been constituted to investigate any violations by members.
