Gangster held on illegal sand mining charges

Raja was given a bail two weeks ago after he had submitted a petition at the Vellore Collectorate stating that he wanted to live a reformed life. However, following a check on the gangsters outside prison, the new SP Pravesh Kumar found him to be involved in illegal sand mining in villages adjoining the Palar river using tipper trucks. 

Thereafter, he was again arrested and was interrogated at a secret location. No case has been registered against him yet.
