Agri officer murder: Woman colleague held
A woman subordinate employee was arrested on Thursday in the murder case of Pudukkottai agricultural officer Boopathy Kannan. It is said that the woman, identified as Soundari (35) of Anna Nagar, Tiruchy, had accompanied him on the day of murder.

After a thorough investigation, police found that Soundari was present in Boopathy’s car before he was murdered.Â
Inquiries further revealed that the Boopathy Kannan was having an extra marital affair with Soundari, who was working under him in his office. It is said that Boopathy Kannan used to pick up and drop Soundari to and from Tiruchy. On the day of incident also she had travelled with him in the car.
Based on the CCTV footage, it was confirmed that Soundari was also present at the spot.Â
Soundari was produced before the Keeranur Court and later lodged in prison.
