Weed out illegal immigrants, says H Raja
BJP national secretary H Raja on Tuesday alleged that refugees from Bangladesh and Nepal are coming into Tamil Nadu in large numbers since ‘an irresponsible’ government is at the helm.

From hospitals to tea shops, people from Bangaladesh and Nepal are working in Tamil Nadu since there is no check on the arrival of outsiders by the state government, he said, speaking to reporters at Karaikudi. He said lakhs of people from outside are working in the granite quarries of Tamil Nadu, he charged.
The refugees who had come into Assam and West Bengal from other countries had infiltrated into Tamil Nadu and the state is facing danger due to their arrivals in large numbers, he warned. He demanded that those who had come to Tamil Nadu should be identified and they should be evicted.
He also said there were floods in Cauvery after a long time but water had gone into the sea without utility. At least four to five tmc of water had gone into the sea every day, he complained and said this was due to the Dravidian party governments which did not focus on administration of water resources.
“The Dravidian parties had only indulged in indiscriminate sand quarrying in the rivers, but had not constructed a single dam during the last 50 years,” he charged.
Though, Kerala has most rivers than Tamil Nadu, the state government in Kerala is not permitting sand quarrying in their rivers, he said virtually lauding the Congress and CPM governments which had been in power in the neighbouring state.
