‘Sky is the limit’ for Aavin’s campaign in Vellore

The Tamil Nadu Cooperative Milk Producers Federation (Aavin) is currently on an aerial advertisement campaign, using helicams, focusing on its district units in a bid to ensure that consumers are aware of its products, said Vellore cooperative milk producers union sources.

The campaign was necessitated since the federation, which usually relies on consumer loyalty (which has 42% market share in the city) and focusses on specific products only during festive occasions, found rivals cutting into its product line thereby affecting its sales and ending with accumulating stocks. “The campaign is expected to bring in more customers into its fold,” officials said.

After a five-day drive in Chennai, the campaign has now moved to Vellore where helicams were being used to focus on various facilities available. “From Vellore, the campaign workers will move to Krishnagiri and Salem and then the rest of the state,” top officials said.

Though locals were agog at the site of the helicam hovering over the Vellore union premises at Sathuvachari, milk union staff were totally unaware of this. Officials said, “it will take another fortnight to cover the 17 district unions in the state and adding another five days for editing, the campaign is expected to be wrapped up in the next 20 days.”

Besides focusing on the 17 district unions, the ad campaign will also cover the 36 chilling centres, five milk powder plants, and also the frozen semen plant at Ooty.
