Talking to newspersons in Karur on Friday, the AIADMK leader warned the BJP chief not to level baseless allegations against the state and advised him to make such charges before the Lokayukta provided he has evidence.
Though the BJP came to power by making a series of corruption charges like 2G Spectrum, coal and corruption in railways to pin down the Congress, it had not initiated any serious action in those cases in its four-year rule, he added.
Taking a dig at the BJP-led NDA government, Thambidurai said that the Centre had so far not given a valid reason for the delayin according sanction to the AIIMS in Tamil Nadu.
“Amit Shah claimed that the Centre granted Rs 5 lakh crore to Tamil Nadu for various projects. But, at the same time, the Centre got higher amount than its allocation under various revenue heads from Tamil Nadu, which has been given to the other states,” Thambidurai defended.
Informing that the local body polls were delayed because of the case filed by the DMK, Thambidurai charged the grant of Rs 2,000 crore for civic development has was yet to be disbursed by the Centre so far.
Meanwhile, he cautioned that the national parties can never destroy the Dravidian outfits in Tamil Nadu.
Talking about the HC order on the NEET, he said the issue would be taken up strongly during the winter session in Parliament by AIADMK MPs.
