Top court’s observations message to TN Governor: Stalin
The Dravidar Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) on Wednesday welcomed the Supreme Court’s verdict that Delhi Lt Governor should function as per suggestions of the elected AAP government and said Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit should understand this and function.

Reacting to the Apex Court’s unanimous verdict, DMK working president MK Stalin tweeted the order would applicable, not only to L-G in Delhi, which was yet to get the Statehood status, but also to Governors of states with full powers.
‘’The Governors in states with full powers, especially the Tamil Nadu Governor, should understand this and function’’, he added.
It may be recalled that the DMK and other opposition parties in the State were critical of the Governor holding meetings in districts and termed it as an affront on the state’s autonomy. They also staged black flag protests during the visits undertaken by the Governor.
