“Our case is strong and the court would overturn the orders of the Speaker. This would make our legislators to return to the Assembly. That would put an end to this regime,” Dhinakaran said.

“We, the AMMK, would be the sole party which would be able to win any election – be it Assembly or Parliament. We are the true heirs of Jayalalithaa and our victory would stand testimony for the same,” he said.

“The AMMK would reach the Secretariat,” he said to the loudest cheers of the cadre gathered on Dr Natesan Salai where the party headquarters is situated. The AMMK leader reasoned that nearly 60 per cent of youth across are with the party. “It is also pertinent to note that as much as 90 per cent of the AIADMK cadres are with AMMK,” he said.

Ridiculing the ruling party, he observed that the government has been boasting of curtailing the situation in Thoothukudi where they had killed as many as 13 persons. “They were not even able to visit the ground after firing,” he added. “We would reinstall the true Jayalalithaa’s regime by removing the betrayers from the helm,” he noted.

“It is because of these slaves, the AIADMK movement which had touched a low where it has conceded defeat,” he said referring to the RK Nagar by-poll.
