Chennai
Though the Directorate will publish the results on its official website — tnresultss.nic.in — the details will also be sent through SMS to the cellphone numbers provided by the students, this year.
“All the data in connection with the examination results have been stored. The information, including analysis, will be published by 9.30 am onwards on Wednesday,” a senior official of the Directorate said on Monday.
The details will also be made available in other two government websites — www. dge1.tn.nic.in and www.dge2.tn.nic.in.
A total of 9.64 lakh students appeared for the exam in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
Of the total, 5.5 lakh were from the Tamil medium stream. In Chennai, more than 50,000 students wrote the board exams, which started on March 16 and ended on April 20. Successful students will have a new syllabus in Class 11, this year.
Like the CBSE, the Directorate will not be releasing the toppers’ list this year, in a bid to reduce the stress that students go through.
In 2017, a total of 9.82 lakh candidates appeared for the exams and the overall pass percentage was 94.4 per cent.
