Rajini asks fans not to react to personal criticism against him
Actor-turned-politician Rajinikanth has requested his fans and members of Rajini Makkal Mandram not to react to any personal criticism levelled against him.
Chennai
The aspiring politician has directed all his supporters not to respond to any brickbats that come his way in their personal capacity. He instead called upon them to spread awareness among the people about their plans in the Mandram to improve Tamil Nadu in the public sphere.
With a number of activities and schemes by the Rajini Makkal Mandram members already underway in various districts, Rajinikanth wants his supporters to project a clean image both offline and online, before the eventual launch of his party.
The Rajini Makkal Mandram, a nodal organisation for all fan clubs of Rajinikanth across the state is expected to be converted into a political party shortly. Efforts to establish an organisational structure and appoint office-bearers for various posts have been underway over the past few months.
Rajinikanth returned from his trip to the United States last week and will be present at the gala audio launch of his upcoming movie Kaala on May 9. It is speculated that he could make an important announcement regarding his foray into politics on that day.
Rajinikanth will also meet with close to 8,500 members of the Mandram from various districts on May 25 at the Raghavendra Kalyana Mandapam. This meeting will also see the nomination of members by the elected office-bearers to the executive committee of the Rajini Makkal Mandram.
