A special prayer was carried out by the state which saw participation of cabinet ministers and as well as legislators.

Lok Sabha Deputy Speaker M Thambidurai was among those present during the ceremony at the Jayalalithaa’s memorial, which was decked up for the event.

After the event, the party heavyweights including ministers paid floral tributes at Jaya’s tomb amid sea of party cadres, who gathered on the Marina.

To a query, Minister D Jayakumar said that the memorial will be a fitting tribute to the late AIADMK supremo who has dedicated her life for the people of the state.
