Rating it between moderate and difficult, some students said more effort should have been put into preparing for Physics. “Besides being very long, the Physics paper seemed very tricky. A month of coaching was not enough for state board students to prepare for Physics, Chemistry as well as Biology,” said Prince Kumar, a resident of Chennai, who wrote the exam at Bhavans Rajaji Vidyashram in Kilpauk.

Another candidate, Sujata S, a resident of Villupuram who wrote the exam in the city, said, “Compared to last year, the exam this year was slightly easier. Most questions were not time consuming. There were similarities between the weightage of marks in this paper and the Class 12 syllabus.”

Prakash V of Vellore found the exam comparatively easy. “After what I heard about last year’s exam, I was prepared for the worst. I prepared on my own but worked very hard. I was surprised that the exam was not as difficult, though the Physics paper was challenging.”
