Bus crew booked as ride snap goes viral
City police booked a private bus crew here after a video of a conductor hitching a ride on the window near the driver’s seat in a dangerous manner went viral on social media.

According to police, a crew member of the bus was seen traveling by sitting on the window, on the right of the driver’s seat in a precarious manner. A passer-by took a snap of the risky ride and shared it on Whatsapp.
Police said that it may set a bad precedent as passengers too might follow them. Acting on a complaint from a commuter, the crew of the private bus was slapped with a fine of Rs 1000 and was warned against doing such acts in future. Private buses in Coimbatore have been in the news for all wrong reasons as recently two buses were caught on camera racing on the Pollachi main road in a dangerous way.
